Nearly a month to the date after the expansion of their viral hair growth collection , Beyoncé and Cécred are back with another product drop that’s primed to be a hit. Today, the brand released the Temple Oud Hair Perfume , a woody-floral mist that captures the signature olfactory accord used in Cécred’s Foundation and Styling offerings. While the new perfume is formulated to work with the hair chemistry of all hair types, the celebrity-approved fragrance can also be used on the body for a long-lasting, cohesive scent.
“Temple Oud is that connection between past, present, and future, and honors the generational knowledge that sits at the core of our brand,” Cécred vice chairwoman Tina Knowles says in a statement. “Temple Oud Hair Perfume gives people a new way to experience the fragrance beyond wash day and styling.” Just like its original scent profile, the Temple Oud hair perfume combines notes of bergamot, jasmine, oud, Australian sandalwood, neroli, spice Blend, violet leaves, warm musk, and Haitian vetiver for a grounding fragrance that aims to encourage a sense of calm.
The new fragrance diffuses over time to enhance its sillage, and is best applied to dry hair as a finishing touch to your beauty routine. Temple Oud’s antioxidant-rich formula can be layered with existing Cécred products or used on its own for a hair refresh. According to experts, hair perfumes are typically lighter than standard fragrances, containing conditioning or antistatic agents that make them more suitable for application, including lower alcohol levels, to prevent dryness and damage. “I approach them as a delicate veil—something that brings movement, volume, and a soft trail,” senior perfumer and Matière Première cofounder, Aurélien Guichard, previously told Bazaar .
Cécred’s Temple Oud Hair Perfume is available exclusively at cecred.com for $54, and at ulta.com starting September 17.
