Arrow Who doesn’t love an excuse to wear jeans—especially during NYFW? On Thursday night, Kaia Gerber and Re/Done hosted fete in the heart of SoHo to celebrate the launch of Kaia Vol. 1; her first full collection with the brand as a creative partner and investor. And while the dress code was simple, the guest list was anything but: Cindy Crawford, Rande Gerber, Hayes Warner, and Natasha Lyonne were among those who came out to mark the occasion. The woman of the hour dressed the part with pieces from her latest drop—dark indigo wash Kaia jeans, a zebra print Fendi bag, and a white graphic t-shirt that read “amazing, sexy, fascinating, and even a little bit naughty.”
Attendees were invited to enter the world of After Hours —the cinematic campaign behind the collection, which imagines Gerber as a 1960s French librarian transported to ‘90s New York. Plush navy carpeting, mid-century furniture, Warholian references, and vintage magazine covers fronted by Tom Cruise and Kevin Costner brought the era to life. Look a little closer, and you could also find books by Joan Didion and Eve Babitz, along with a portrait of a young Dolly Parton, a few personal touches that shaped Gerber’s vision.
“We are building a whole world, and a closet full of items,” Meredith Kahn, Re/Done’s head of design, told Vogue . “People are already pulling inspiration from different generations organically, and we wanted the collection to feel authentic to the way people are dressing in their everyday lives.” DJ Isabella Massenet commanded the soundtrack, spinning retro house beats inspired by the brand’s California roots—until her set was briefly interrupted with a surprise performance from Scout Willis, who sang three original songs.
As the night went on, the lights dimmed and the music amplified while Gerber reunited and giggled with her The Shards co-star Hayes Warner and SNL’s Veronika Slowikowska. Elsewhere, New York Knicks star Tyler Kolek stood in a corner—taking it all in—as actors Thomas Doherty and Anna Van Patten caught up. —Simone Cook
Arrow In lower Manhattan, Acne Studios invited guests to mark the brand’s three-decade anniversary, while unveiling its new store on Gansevoort Street in the Meatpacking District. The late-night bash showcased the space’s modern artworks and patterned tapestries as attendees including Lily-Rose Depp, Iris Law, Paloma Elsesser, and siblings Troye and Sage Sivan stationed themselves front row for the evening’s surprise performance by 070 Shake.
Though glossy metal trays of Champagne-filled coupes floated throughout the room all night without interruption, a blush-hued, eight-tier cherry-topped cake didn’t last long.
