The actress made waves with an update to her signature hairstyle
Demi Moore is back with another surprise hair transformation. This week, the actress arrived at Thom Browne’s Spring/Summer 2027 show during New York Fashion Week sans her signature elbow-length hair. The actress opted for a chin-grazing micro-bob instead, styled sleekly with a soft side part .
While the star’s bob is likely an optical illusion by way of expert-level tuck-and-pin, her latest look is giving fans and Bazaar editors serious inspiration for future salon appointments. To complement the new hairstyle, The Substance star paired the look with a tie, boxy bomber jacket, and pleated dress, along with a pair of oversized aviator glasses.
Eagle-eyed fans know this isn’t the first time Moore has entertained the idea of a shorter cut. The star also showcased a wet-look bob—coined the “Demi-tris BoB” by her longtime hairstylist Dimitris Giannetos —at Gucci’s Fall/Winter 2026 show earlier this year. “It’s a big change for Demi—we’ve never seen her like this before,” Giannetos previously told Bazaar . “She looks very cool, effortless, and modern. And it highlights her personality.”
While the actress looks captivating in both a micro-bob and a waist-grazing style, Moore tells Bazaar that “cutting” her hair is all in the name of fun and will likely never happen officially. “But I love the opportunity to play; that was the best part,” she says of her Milan Fashion Week look. “And every once in a while, when I get a little bored, it helps break up the monotony of ‘Oh, should I cut it? Should I do bangs?’ And I always say no, because I’ll wake up the next day and say, ‘Why did I do that?’”
