Instinct got travel's attention by handling bookings via text message. Now the real question is whether it can turn that volume into revenue — and travel may be the test case.
Travel accounts for half of all transaction volume flowing through Instinct, according to founder Noah Shinn, putting travel at the center of one of Silicon Valley's fastest-rising agentic AI assistants.
The invite-only bot has hit a billion dollars a year or more in transaction volume, he said in a podcast released Monday, and "50% of that is travel alone.”
How it is calculating that isn’t clear, but Instinct's overall worth is starting to come into focus. DealBook reported Monday that Instinct raised $1 billion at a $10 billion valuation, quadrupling its valuation in a month, with just 14 employees. The company confirmed the Series C and valuation.
