Floward shows up for the UAE’s Indian community with “It’s how we gift, as a family”

Floward has launched its a campaign built specifically for the Indian community in the UAE, with a film-led platform titled “It’s how we gift, as family.”

The campaign, which launched in the UAE on 28 September 2026, is rooted in a simple but culturally resonant observation: life abroad changes people quietly – not because something is missing, but because the systems around them work so efficiently that many once-essential gestures begin to feel optional .

In the UAE, where life is described through the campaign as safe, fast and well run, the film draws attention to the small ways in which people no longer have to show up for one another in the same way they once did: the 2amairport pickup that a cousin may once have expected is no longer necessary; a taxi does the job. Nothing is worse. But something human risks being let go of.

That same logic sits at the heart of Floward’s gifting campaign. In a world increasingly shaped by convenience, the easiest move would be to optimise gifting too: the fastest delivery, the safest choice, the product that arrives within the hour.

Floward’s campaign deliberately pushes against that impulse.

Instead, it positions gifting as a meaningful gesture — one that gives gratitude a form, and one that signals thought, time and emotional presence.

“At Floward, emotional connections and heartfelt moments are at the centre of everything we do,” said Asil Attar , Chief Commercial Officer, Floward . “We are honoured to celebrate the Indian community and the traditions that bring families and friends together.”

The campaign’s core idea is built around the belief that a gift that requires thought and time is a way of showing up.

While convenience has made life easier, the campaign explores how it can also create sameness. A generic gift may fulfil the function of gifting, but it does not always carry the emotional intent that makes the gesture memorable.

Floward’s platform reframes the act of gifting as something closer to community care . The campaign does not focus only on family in the literal sense, but on the wider circle of people who form a family-like support system for many living away from home.

This is where the campaign line does much of the strategic work. “It’s how we gift, as family.” appears once, in full, at the end of the film. The comma appears intentionally. It positions the line as a standard rather than a description of a household.

The phrase is not meant to say that gifting happens only within families. Instead, it suggests that the act of gifting can be carried out with the care, thought and closeness associated with family – even when the recipient is a friend, neighbour, colleague or member of the wider community.

The film brings this thought to life through a series of everyday community moments: a school run, a housewarming, a promotion celebration, a hosting circle and a sixtieth birthday.

Each scene turns on the same emotional beat – the moment when someone recognises that thought has gone into the gift. It is not merely the arrival of flowers or a present that matters, but the understanding that someone has taken the time to choose with care.

The campaign has been created for the Indian community in the UAE, but it avoids relying on named personalities or celebrity-led storytelling. Instead, it is built around locally cast characters, community situations and recognisable moments of social exchange.
