We’re not sure this really counts as a proper beef. A baby beef, maybe, but it’s still got a lot of growing to do. Still, Paris has been light on the drama, so let’s get into it.
EJ Johnson — scion of billionaire former pro basketball player Magic Johnson — is in Paris for Fashion Week. Apparently they attended the Dior show and although they enjoyed it — “the show itself was beautiful,” they said in a post on TikTok — they were less enthused by the amount of time they and the rest of the audience had to wait for it to start: an hour, apparently. And why? According to EJ it was all Rihanna’s fault. “It did start an hour late because Rihanna was late,” they said, “and, you know, we didn’t care to wait for her, but the show was beautiful nonetheless.”
Rihanna did not respond to EJ’s video directly, but when celebrity Instagram account The Hollywood Fix posted a video of EJ being blocked by security from entering their hotel, Rihanna did comment on that post, writing merely “damn.”

Not exactly a beef to end all beefs, but who knows? Even the mighty oak begins life as a mere acorn. Is this an acorn, though? An acorn of beef? More like a sunflower seed of beef. A sesame seed even. Poppy seed? Orchids have the smallest seeds of any plant — as small as 0.05 mm — so it’s at least on orchid seed of beef.
Of course, celebrity Stan culture being what it is, EJ saying they would rather not wait an hour for Rihanna to show up to an event is somehow enough to send the trolls into a tizzy — as the comments on EJ’s TikTok and Instagram accounts prove — but, honestly, they’re probably living for it. We hope so anyway. Because there’s really no avoiding it short of shutting down their accounts. And, really, where would EJ be then?
