Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) – The International Chamber of Commerce in Iraq (ICC Iraq) is planning to hold a forum on corporate social responsibility and business sustainability in Baghdad on November 1 after its participation in a major international conference in Saudi Arabia.
An ICC Iraq team attended the Global CSR Forum 2026, which took place in Riyadh on October 5-6 and was organized by Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development.
The event drew over 3,000 attendees and 100 presenters from across the globe, with over 40 sessions addressing corporate social responsibility, sustainable business practices, and international collaboration.
ICC Iraq said that its participation was intended to develop ties with foreign organizations and share experience ahead of the Iraqi Forum for Social Responsibility and Business Sustainability, which is set for November 1 in Baghdad.
The next workshop is planned to provide a venue for conversations about how Iraqi firms may integrate social responsibility and sustainability into their operations.
The program comes as Iraq strives to enhance its private sector and attract foreign investment, with a focus on corporate governance, environmental norms, and firms’ role in economic growth.
ICC Iraq’s presence at the Riyadh event demonstrates attempts to link Iraqi firms with international organizations and offer worldwide expertise in responsible business practices to the local market.
