Motivate Media Group has announced the publication of The Gifted Garden , a new children’s book by 17-year-old Dubai student Talia Rida .

Inspired by her personal experiences, the book invites young readers to celebrate their individuality and recognise the qualities that make them unique.

Launching during ADHD Awareness Month, Dyslexia Awareness Month and the UAE’s Year of the Family 2026, The Gifted Garden offers a simple, reassuring message for children: there is no single way to grow.

It also gives parents, educators and caregivers an accessible way to open conversations about kindness, understanding and appreciating what makes each person unique.

For much of her school life, Talia found it difficult to learn in the way she was expected to, and harder still to understand why.

Over time, she came to realise that nothing about her needed fixing; her mind simply worked in its own way. Learning to work with the mind she had became the inspiration for her first book.

Set in a garden inhabited by six animal friends, The Gifted Garden introduces children to characters who each experience the world in their own way. Milo has a busy mind, Tina a steady heart, Polly her own distinctive voice, Bruno a particular way of reading the world, Cami sensitive senses, and Olli a mind that finds comfort in patterns.

Through gentle storytelling and colourful illustrations, the book celebrates these differences as part of what makes each character special.

Commenting on the publication, Talia Rida said “ The Gifted Garden began as a small seed of an idea, the belief that the world is beautiful because we are not all the same”, said Talia Rida. “These traits are not things that need to be fixed, they are strengths that make us who we are.”

The book is available for purchase through leading bookstores across the region, and online at BooksArabia.com.
