Kyle Ryde dominated the second British Superbike Championship race of the weekend at Brands Hatch to claim his 10 th victory of the season.
The reigning two-time champion fought hard with Scott Redding for second on the opening lap, before setting his sights on Max Cook. Ryde set multiple new lap records after taking the lead and simply pulled away.
The Nitrous Coin Nitrous competitions Ducati rider crossed the line with an advantage of 2.197s over Redding, with Cook once again completing the top three in a repeat of Race One’s podium.
Ryde now sits 21 points clear of Redding in the championship as he sets his sights on a maiden Brands Hatch treble later today (July 19). Ryde has finished on the podium in all 14 races this season.
Bradley Ray improved to fourth after a difficult Race One, with the McAMS Yamaha rider running a stunning Boost Yamaha-inspired purple and gold livery on his R1.
Ryan Vickers completed the top five for Honda Racing UK after overtaking Leon Haslam on the final lap, whilst Christian Iddon and Glenn Irwin finished seventh and eighth respectively.
Rory Skinner and Josh Brookes completed the top 10 ahead of Joe Talbot and Lee Jackson, with Ilya Mikhalchik and Jason O’Halloran claiming the final points on offer in the race.
Storm Stacey retired from the race with a technical issue onboard the Bathams AJN Racing Ducati V4 R. Graeme Irwin crashed at Druids on lap eight, leaving Richard Kerr with nowhere to go.
The third and final BSB race of the weekend at Brands Hatch is scheduled to begin at 16:30.
