SCARE was an okay opener, leaving me with 104 words and a green ‘S’. I tried to knock out some more common letters with TULIP, but still had six words left. SLINK left me with just two: SWILL and SHILL and since I’m a critic as well as a puzzle guide writer, I can’t tell you how many times I’ve been called a SHILL for liking something that someone else didn’t like. My positive review of The Odyssey , for instance . I’m sure someone is calling me a “Christopher Nolan shill” as we speak. C’est la vie.
