Lana Del Rey is leaning into her soft girl era, at least when it comes to beauty. The singer-songwriter just unveiled an ultra-bouncy, retro-inspired hair look on Instagram, featuring glossy, brushed-out curls and an easy, off-center part, courtesy of a slideshow posted by her longtime hairstylist, Anna Cofone . “What a journey this has been, and the best is yet to come—thank you for letting me be a part of it,” Cofone writes in an Instagram post about their collaboration.
The star is outfitted in a white, semi-sheer off-the-shoulder lace-and-tulle gown with floral appliqué in the photos, matching the ease and softness of Del Rey’s hairstyle. A subtle flush, a red lip, and pigmented liner, crafted by celebrity makeup artist Tyron Machhausen , help ground the ethereal beauty look. The star’s flowing curls not only nod to the sophistication of Old Hollywood but also to the cover of the star’s second studio album, Born to Die, where she wore a similarly curly style .
While Del Rey’s bouncy hair serves as a return to vintage-inspired form, it’s also a slight departure from the ombré-toned color she’s worn over the years.
