Omnicom has positioned its overhauled Omni AI-powered platform as a keystone of its client offering, showing off the revamped version of the system in January at CES.

But in June and July, the holding company quietly offloaded substantial parts of the engineering and product teams that built the platform to a third-party contractor called Endava. That includes at least 468 staffers across the U.S., the U.K., India, and Malaysia, most of which are product and engineering talent, according to documentation obtained by ADWEEK.

Separately, it laid off around 50 U.S. employees from the Omni Platforms Product & Engineering Division on June 9, according to documentation obtained by ADWEEK.
