Mallory Park’s 70th anniversary celebrations will gather pace on July 4-5 with the launch of a brand-new event designed to revive one of the circuit’s best-known fixtures.
Called the 1000 Bikes Revival , the two-day festival is being organised by Live Promotions as a centrepiece of the Leicestershire venue’s milestone year. It aims to recapture the spirit of the original Festival of 1000 Bikes, which was a regular draw for fans of classic and Grand Prix machinery at the Kirkby Mallory track.

On-track action will be headlined by the Classic Race of the Year and the Master of Mallory – a special celebration race bringing together star names and machines closely linked with the circuit’s history. Organisers have also confirmed a 50th anniversary tribute to Barry Sheene and the Suzuki RG500 , marking their first 500cc Grand Prix world title in 1976.
That landmark season for Sheene is being recognised at several events in 2026, including the Goodwood Festival of Speed , and Mallory’s tribute will focus on the bike and era that helped define Grand Prix racing in the mid-1970s.
Also on the billing is a ‘Grand Prix and Formula Two-Stroke Frenzy’, promising a strong presence of period race machinery, alongside parades celebrating significant road and race bikes. Owners will also have the opportunity to parade their own motorcycles on track across the weekend.
Away from the circuit, the 1000 Bikes Revival is set to feature dirt track racing and live trials demonstrations, plus a classic and vintage race bike show. Meet-and-greet sessions with former stars of the sport are planned, alongside manufacturer and club displays, trade stands and a retail village.
Younger visitors are catered for with youth electric racing on a dedicated ‘Mallor-E MX’ track and a children’s fun fair, while live music, street food and evening entertainment are scheduled across both days. Camping will be available on site for those looking to make a full weekend of it.
Under-14s can attend free of charge and tickets for adults are on sale now. For full details and booking information, visit the 1000 Bikes Revival website .
Nothing beats getting out to a motorcycling event and the 1000 Bikes Revival looks set to be a good one! Leicestershire is a nice central location and Mallory is such an iconic venue, hopefully plenty of visitors will make the trip.
