Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) – Prime Minister Ali al-Zaidi is leading the Iraqi delegation at the 81st session of the United Nations General Assembly, which opened on Tuesday in New York and is attended by leaders and representatives from various member states.
The meetings will address key international and regional issues and challenges, as well as approaches to enhance security, stability, and peace.
According to a statement released by the Prime Minister’s Office (PMO), al-Zaidi will deliver a speech presenting a comprehensive overview of the country’s positions on various regional and international issues.
Al-Zaidi’s speech will also address the government’s policies in terms of economic and security matters and relations with other countries.
On the sidelines of the UN General Assembly, al-Zaidi is holding several high-profile diplomatic meetings to bolster Iraq’s international relations and economic partnerships.
The Iraqi prime minister held separate meetings with US Secretary of State Marco Rubio, Lebanese Prime Minister Nawaf Salam, Jordan’s King Abdullah II, Irish Prime Minister Micheal Martin, Prime Minister of the Republic of Rwanda Justin Nsengiyumva, and Kuwaiti Crown Prince Sheikh Sabah Khaled al-Sabah.
