In case you didn’t already get the memo, fringe is in for Spring 2027! The collection began with controlled, monochromatic tailoring before gradually loosening into asymmetric hemlines, cascading silhouettes and more tactile, organic forms. Craftsmanship meets experimentation throughout, with three-dimensional guipure lace, raffia, raw silk fringe and leather joined by unexpected treatments like rubberized lace, coated denim and organza mixed with PVC and optic fiber. A restrained palette of black and ivory gives way to pops of flame red and daffodil yellow, while abstract florals, feather-like textures and oversized paillettes further blur the line between natural and engineered.
For Chapter 05, Syntropy , RETORI turns to Chinese American artist Ye Zhu, translating his explorations of memory, materiality and identity into a wardrobe that balances structure with fluidity. Founder and creative director Salma Rachid builds on the house’s signature tailoring with lightweight wool, cocooned silhouettes, draped satin, knits and relaxed separates, while a palette of tobacco, sand and moss is energized by lilac, ice blue, orange, aubergine and flashes of metallic silver. Evening wear brings transparency and shimmer into the mix, and Zhu’s Mending River Body inspires a constellation-like Galaxy motif that appears across drapey dresses and tops. The result is a quietly expressive collection where texture, movement and craftsmanship do most of the talking.
For Spring 2027, Tibi finds inspiration in the art of “doing your own thing. “A trip to Nashville led founder Amy Smilovic to a cast of self-assured originals, from Dolly Parton and Elvis to Lyle Lovett and the performers of the Grand Ole Opry, each with an instinctive sense of style unconcerned with what’s expected. That spirit of the “comfortable contrarian” runs through the collection, Paris-filtering the confidence and individuality of these legends through Tibi’s distinctly pragmatic lens. The result pairs creative freedom with the ease and functionality that have long defined the brand, an especially fitting approach as Tibi prepares to celebrate its 30th anniversary in 2027, three decades after Smilovic launched the label in Hong Kong.
