Sir, – Ever since being found in a cabbage patch in the family allotment, I have had a strong aversion to Brussels sprouts. However, for some quite peculiar reason I’ve now developed a fondness for these miniature brassicas.
Has the once bitter Brussels sprout been genetically modified to taste less acrid and somewhat more sweeter, or is my newfound liking for sprouts down simply to natural changes to my gustatory system? – Yours, etc,
