Kyle Ryde claimed his 16 th victory of the 2026 British Superbike Championship season in the Sprint race at Donington Park; however, the title fight will go to the final round at Brands Hatch.
With Scott Redding following Ryde home in second, it means that it’s not possible for Ryde to open up an insurmountable lead in the final race at Donington Park .
After dropping to third at the start, Ryde quickly dispatched of Redding with a stunning move through Coppice, before quickly diving down the inside of Ryan Vickers at the Foggy Esses.
Ryde, who now has 40 BSB victories, is 78 points clear of Redding with 130 points still up for grabs in 2026. With 16 victories collected so far and four more races still to go, Ryde has a chance to equal or beat the current record of victories in a single season set by Leon Camier in 2009 (19).
Vickers completed the podium, with Max Cook getting the better of his AJN Steelstock bimota teammate Joe Talbot to finish fifth. Lee Jackson finished seventh for DAO Racing Honda , with Glenn Irwin, Danny Kent and Jason O’Halloran completing the top 10.
Ilya Mikhalchik and Storm Stacey finished 11 th and 12 th respectfully ahead of Rhys Irwin, Josh Brookes and Andrew Irwin.
Rory Skinner and Leon Haslam crashed out at the final corner at the end of the opening lap, with the safety car being released as a result. Haslam was stretchered away from the scene of the incident. Skinner has since been given a three-place grid penalty for the next race as well as three penalty points.
At the end of the first lap after the restart, Fraser Rogers and Eugene McManus went down at the final corner. Christian Iddon crashed at Redgate (Turn One) on lap eight.
The third and final BSB race of the weekend at Donington Park is scheduled to begin at 16:15.
