The appointment comes as Brand USA President and CEO Fred Dixon prepares to rejoin NYC Tourism + Conventions.

Brand USA has named former Visit California chief Caroline Beteta as interim president and CEO, effective November 9. Her return to the nation’s destination marketing organization follows nearly three decades leading Visit California as CEO. She announced her retirement in January.

Brand USA President and CEO Fred Dixon is set to depart in November after more than two years in the role. His departure was first reported by Skift in late August.
