Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) – Iraq’s Minister of Health, Abdul-Hussein Aziz Al-Mousawi, underscored on Friday, October 30, 2026, the imperative of expanding international healthcare partnerships, transferring advanced medical technologies, and upgrading clinical healthcare delivery across the country.

Speaking during his inspection tour on the third day of the 6th Iraq International Health Exhibition and Conference, Al-Mousawi highlighted the exhibition’s role as a platform for exchanging technical expertise, acquiring advanced healthcare systems, and driving modernization across state and private healthcare infrastructure, according to a ministerial statement reported by the Iraqi News Agency (INA).

The minister commended the wide international turnout at this year’s edition, which brought together 375 healthcare corporations representing 24 countries.

Al-Mousawi noted that the significant global participation reflects growing commercial confidence in Iraq’s healthcare sector and opens viable investment pathways with international pharmaceutical and biomedical institutions.

During the walkthrough, Al-Mousawi inspected newly introduced medical diagnostic devices, surgical machinery, and specialized pharmaceutical supplies, engaging with company representatives and technical specialists on modern clinical solutions, hospital management technologies, and localized healthcare supply-chain integration.
