Harryween Is Back From Dead: Harry Styles Dons ‘X Factor’ Outfit for Stevie Wonder Cover

Harryween is here. Harry Styles took the stage at Madison Square Garden on Friday night for the penultimate concert of his 30-night residency at the venue in full costume. Earlier in the night, he donned a full Elvis costume, as his band and dancers dressed up as various iterations of Styles throughout his career.

The Love band are all dressed as various Harry’s for #TogetherTogetherHarryween ! Aysia and Rubia – As It Was dancers Sarah – Red shorts & Moustachrry Harry Mitch – Green boa Grammys Harry Lorren and Laura – Coachella Harry Pauli – Met Galarry Elin – Fine Line Cover Harry Ariza…

For tonight’s cover though (a Styles tradition), the singer-songwriter eschewed anything from the King and picked a track that had deep personal meaning. Nodding to his 16-year-old self, Styles changed into the outfit he wore at his X Factor audition before performing Stevie Wonder’s “Isn’t She Lovely,” the same song that he used to audition for the show. At one point, he told the MSG crowd, “I work in a bakery,” mimicking a line he told the X Factor judges during his audition.

Fans were already eagerly anticipating the first surprise song of the weekend in the days leading up to the show. On Wednesday, Oct. 28, at the final non-Harryween concert of the Together, Together residency, Styles shocked the crowd with his first performance of “Ever Since New York” in four years.

Five years have passed since the last time Styles hosted Harryween in New York City. Back in 2021, he similarly performed for two Halloween shows. For the first, he emerged as Dorothy with his band dressed as different Wizard of Oz characters. That night, he clicked his heels and covered “Somewhere Over the Rainbow.”
