The singer and actress proves that hair really can be the outfit
Jennifer Lopez has tried many hair looks, from her natural ’90s curls to honey-blond highlights. Most recently, the singer and actress transformed into Jane Fonda’s character from the 1968 film Barbarella for Halloween, debuting a voluminous blond blowout à la Fonda. Lopez even wore a sheer, sequined bodysuit replica from the movie, with rips and fake-blood details for a Halloween twist on the look.
Although Halloween is over, Lopez isn’t ready to retire the look yet, and her hairstylist Chris Appleton just gave us a never-before-seen look on Instagram at her bombshell look, where Lopez looks almost unrecognizable. In a photo collage shared by the celebrity hairstylist, Lopez poses completely nude with bright blond hair—her blondest look ever. “Bombshell Barbs,” Appleton wrote in the caption, nodding to the movie and Lopez’s costume. On top of giving Lopez a blond hue, Appleton styled Lopez’s hair with voluminous curls with extra height at the crown.
Appleton is responsible for many of Lopez’s hair looks, including her most recent fall-forward “ million dollar blow out ,” with chestnut-brown highlights and face-framing bangs.
Is Lopez’s blond bombshell hair here to stay? It’s unclear if Lopez is wearing a wig, but Appleton is known for hair transformations, seen on Kim Kardashian and even Lopez in the past, so the blonde may or may not be sticking around for longer.
