The U.S. Department of Transportation announced in a statement on Tuesday that the Saudi airline "Riyadh Airlines" has received a license to operate flights to and from the United States.
The airline launched its first flights to London last week using its new fleet of Boeing aircraft.
Riyadh Airlines, founded in 2023, is the second national airline in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia after Saudi Airlines and is owned by the Saudi Public Investment Fund.
The U.S. Department of Transportation stated that "granting this license serves the public interest."
