While most of the enemies you fight are variations of real animals, cats are the only docile creatures in the game. However, this doesn't mean that all of them trust humans. Some let you approach them, but others will run away as soon as they spot you.
To populate every street in the Kingdom of Huther with these small felines and claim all the rewards, you will need to discover where to find all the cats in The Adventures of Elliot .
Although you come across some cats fairly early in the game, you can't interact with them at first. You can only start collecting cats after completing the "Capricious Neighbors" side quest in the Age of Safekeeping . This quest introduces the Ailurophilic Traveler, a mysterious figure who's interested in seeing more cats.

So, technically you only need to collect the remaining 48 . As you find them, you can unlock the following rewards from the Ailurophilic Traveler:
By talking to Ailurophilic Traveler, you can check how many cats you've found and how many remain both in general and in the specific age you're currently visiting.
Once you obtain the cat needle — and have progressed in the campaign to unlock the magic compass — cat icons will appear on your map , helping you find them all. You can also check if a cat is located inside a dungeon or cave you already visited by selecting the location on the map and seeing if a cat icon appears next to the place's name.
You can only find all 50 cats if you go through the process to unlock the game's true ending . For more details, check the list of each age below.
As mentioned, you collect two of the cats in the Age of Safekeeping during "Capricious Neighbors," leaving 11 other cats for you to find in this age.
Near the Kingdom of Huther's western gate.
To the right of the guidepost at the Kingdom of Huther's northern entrance.
To find this cat, head to the entrance to the Mist Ruins, to the eastern side.
This cat is located inside the Monster Trail 1, near the Forest Ruins.
You find this cat to the left side of the Western Eddartrayl guidepost.
On Rainbow Lotus's sublevel one, go to the east side. To reach the part where the cat is located, you must find the blue key to open the door.
This cat is near the remains of a shackle east of the Southern Whiterea guidepost to the south of Whiterea.
This cat is located on the western side of Neverwither, on the lower level. To reach the place, you must swim from Westerea.
This cat is on the northern side of the Western Caves. The entrance to the caves is located on the southwestern side of Westerea, near the Southern Westerea guidepost.
