Al-Murqi and Al-Qarni Lead a Noisy Saudi March in the Streets of Atlanta

The legends of Saudi chants in the stands, Aati Al-Murqi and Saleh Al-Qarni, led a massive and noisy public march in the streets of Atlanta, encouraging fans of the green before the Egyptian World Cup match against Spain, on Sunday evening.

As Saudi flags and green scarves flew high amidst chants and national songs that ignited the emotions of the fans, especially the expatriates, cars adorned with green flags roamed the city streets signaling the readiness of the green falcons for the big battle against the Spanish matador.

The Saudi Fans Council had completed the distribution of free tickets for the green's match against Spain, on Sunday, as part of the 2026 World Cup.

The distribution took place at the council's headquarters in Atlanta, where Saudi fans from expatriates and residents in Georgia gathered in large numbers at the hotel where the fans council is located; eager to get tickets for the match.

The Saudi federation had doubled the number of tickets from the match against Uruguay, which was estimated at 400 tickets, which it purchased from FIFA, increasing the number to nearly 4 times “1600 tickets”. Despite this increase, the demand remained high, and fans who flocked to the hotel in large numbers left disappointed for not obtaining a ticket to attend the match.

Although the members of the Saudi Fans Council distributed all available tickets, and the fans were informed of this, several fans preferred to stay and not leave, hoping to acquire a ticket to support the green in the World Cup confrontation.
