BSB Knockhill: Scott Redding secures second victory of 2026 in Race Three

Scott Redding has reduced the gap to Kyle Ryde in the British Superbike Championship after securing his second victory of the season in Race 3 at Knockhill.

Redding came out on top in a battle with Bradley Ray to clinch victory to close the gap to 21 points in the championship standings. It’s Redding’s 20 th BSB victory from 61 race starts.

Ray finished second for the second consecutive race onboard the McAMS Yamaha , with Ryde bouncing back from a mistake at the final corner to complete the podium ahead of a resilient Ryan Vickers.

Rory Skinner ended his home weekend in fifth ahead of Glenn Irwin and Max Cook, with Leon Haslam, Josh Brookes and Christian Iddon completing the top 10.

Lee Jackson was 11 th on the second of the DAO Racing Hondas , whilst Jason O’Halloran and Joe Talbot finished 12 th and 13 th respectively. The final two points went to Ilya Mikhalchik and Charlie Nesbitt.

The red flags were waved on lap four due to a possible oil spill on the circuit following a blow up for Danny Kent’s Cheshire Mouldings Yamaha R1. It’s the third mechanical DNF for a Yamaha rider this weekend following Ray in Race 1 and Skinner in Race 2 .

Storm Stacey retired with a bike problem on the sixth lap of the race, whilst Richard Kerr returned to the pits at the end of lap 12. MasterMac Honda’s Eugene McManus did not start the race.

Earlier in the day Oli Bayliss was victorious in just his second-ever race at Knockhill in the Supersport class. It’s the first time a Bayliss has won a race at a BSB event since dad Troy Bayliss won Race 2 at Cadwell Park in his title-winning 1999 Superbike campaign.

The next round of the 2026 BSB season takes place at Snetterton on July 3-5.
