Mohammed Fadl Shakir, son of Lebanese artist Fadl Shakir, called for his father's fair treatment and release following the postponement of his latest trial session.
Mohammed wrote on his Instagram story: 'Freedom and justice for Fadl Shakir.. it's time for justice', in his first direct comment on the developments of the case and his father's deteriorating health inside the Lebanese military prison.
This coincided with media reports discussing a noticeable decline in Fadl Shakir's health in recent times, as he suffers from complications related to diabetes, which have significantly affected his vision, along with medical warnings about the possibility of his condition worsening.
Sources indicated that the Lebanese artist is also facing other health issues, including pains in the vertebrae and problems with the neck cartilage, which have increased the difficulty of his health situation inside his imprisonment.
Fadl Shakir is following his legal file within the Lebanese military prison concerning pending cases, with medical monitoring of his condition as part of the applicable procedures.
It is noted that Fadl Shakir began his artistic career in the late 1990s and released several albums that gained wide popularity in the Arab world, before announcing his retirement in 2012, followed by legal and judicial developments that are still ongoing.
