Valve has finally opened pre-orders for its highly anticipated Steam Machine, offering four different versions to meet gamers' needs: two models with 512GB of storage and two models with 2TB of storage, with the option to purchase each either alone or bundled with the Steam Controller.
But the surprise came in the pricing, which seemed steep as expected amid the crisis of rising memory and storage unit costs. The base model with 512GB sells for $1049, while it rises to $1128 when adding the controller. The 2TB version starts at $1349 and goes up to $1428 when purchased with the controller, with buyers also receiving two additional covers for the device in red fabric and solid walnut wood.
