Elissa welcomed the ruling issued by the Court of Cassation in Dubai regarding her artistic and digital rights dispute with Watary company, considering that the ruling represents an important victory for her career, rights, and artistic name, and a clear message that exploiting an artist's works or digital presence cannot be done outside the law or beyond the limits of agreements.
Elissa confirmed that this ruling strengthens her position in protecting her works and digital platforms, especially in light of what electronic platforms have become as an essential part of the artist's identity, rights, and status before their audience.
“The right has triumphed. This ruling affirms that my name, voice, works, and digital identity are not available for anyone. I thank the Emirati judiciary for its fairness, and I renew my complete trust in the Lebanese judiciary, and I will continue until my full rights are established.”
