Get ready to visit the "most brutal version of Night City."
After four years since the first season aired, Cyberpunk: Edgerunners 2 is confirmed to air this fall on Netflix, returning to Night City and introducing a new set of characters. We’ve also received a new trailer, and based on what we’ve seen, this might indeed be the "dream city" version of Night City at its "most brutal".
The characters appear to include a heavily modified assassin capable of scaling walls and balancing on wires, a spiky-haired person who may be involved in things well beyond their abilities, a mature man on the verge of cyber psychosis, and a child capturing a lot of different things. But for what purpose?
Fortunately, it seems Netflix isn’t planning on messing with a winning formula, as Edgerunners director Kai Ikarashi returns, along with chief designer Kanu Ishio, and also returning is supervisor and writer Bartosz Sztybor to make the world sad again, and we can't wait.
I always look for a good story, tight script, and thrilling narrative in any video game, and don’t mind exploring competitive games with innovative and exciting ideas.
