Will GTA 6 Offer a System Similar to San Andreas?
0 Twitter Telegram Whatsapp Facebook As players eagerly await the arrival of the new GTA 6 trailer, the community has been dissecting every tiny detail from the recent batch of images released by Rockstar, to the extent that one new theory has sparked unexpected discussion: will the game actually allow for muscle building within the world?
According to what was reported by GamesRadar, a number of players believe that a recent image of the character Jason, who appears less muscular in one shot compared to a previous one, may be evidence of a fitness and muscle-building system in the game.
While many comments point out that lighting and camera angles can drastically change the body's appearance, as well as the effect of good blood pumping on muscle definition, the comparison between the two images seems to some as more than just an optical illusion. In one image, Jason is clearly shown with very muscular arms, shoulders, and back, while he appears in another image closer to a normal build.
These speculations come after the first GTA 6 reveal in May 2025, which showed Jason lifting heavy weights on a Vice City beach, a scene that brought back memories of potential sports activities within the game. Some players even attempted to analyze his ability to lift weights and speculate on his physical strength level, as an additional piece of evidence of how serious this theory might be.
It's likely that weightlifting will be an available activity in GTA 6, as Rockstar is known for allowing players to do many things they see in their game's promotional trailers. This makes the idea that going to the gym or working out could be part of the gameplay, with a direct impact on the character's appearance, logical and not far-fetched, as is evident in the comparison image below.
This brings to mind the game GTA: San Andreas, which featured a muscle-building system for the character CJ, where lifting weights and exercising affected his physical appearance and even certain attributes within the gameplay.
Do these two screenshots essentially confirm that fitness/bodybuilding is in the game? Jason looks noticeably more muscular in one image than the other, particularly in his back, shoulders, and arms. Lighting and angles can exaggerate differences, but this seems too substantial… pic.twitter.com/O62ettpNQf

I've loved video games since the days of the family console, and I prefer adventure games like Tomb Raider and Assassins Creed (before the shift to RPGs), I have no bias towards any home console. For me, the best is the one that offers the most distinctive games. What matters to me are the experiences with compelling storytelling, as the story is the foundation of enjoyment more than the gameplay.
