BYD’s DENZA opens first Iraqi showroom at Iraq Mall

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) – Chinese premium car manufacturer DENZA has officially inaugurated its first showroom in Iraq at Iraq Mall in Baghdad, marking the launch of BYD’s luxury automobile branch in the Iraqi market.

DENZA will present its selection of premium cars to Iraqi consumers, including electric and plug-in hybrid vehicles for the luxury vehicle class, in the new showroom.

The opening is another step forward for the Iraqi automotive industry as foreign car makers increasingly perceive Iraq as an emerging market for modern, high-tech automobiles.

DENZA was created in 2010 as a joint venture between BYD and Mercedes-Benz, and it later became a wholly owned subsidiary of Chinese automotive giant BYD.

And since then, the brand has grown globally as BYD continues to push further into the luxury car space.

DENZA’s leading vehicles will be on exhibit at the Iraq Mall store, including the B5 plug-in hybrid SUV and the bigger B8 SUV.

The portfolio is a mix of sustainable mobility, innovative technology, and premium design with a focus on clients who want luxury and new energy cars.

The introduction follows the continued expansion of Chinese automobile companies across Iraq, where demand for contemporary cars, innovative safety features, and electric technology has seen steady growth.

The opening also represents the increasing economic relations between Iraq and China, which has grown to be one of Iraq’s most significant economic partners via collaboration in energy, infrastructure, commerce, and investment.

International car manufacturers are increasingly focusing on Baghdad and other major cities as Iraq’s medium- and upper-income consumer markets continue to grow, introducing new technology and premium goods to Iraqi buyers.
