Nearly two years after the couple made their first public appearance together—with countless nights out for dinner in New York City , Swift’s gargantuan Eras Tour , and Kansas City Chiefs games in between—they announced their engagement in August 2025 . Ever since, speculation has been swirling. What designer (or designers) would Taylor choose to wear ? What might a wedding at Madison Square Garden actually look like ? Who was invited to the big day? Swift—known for dropping hints and Easter eggs into her outfits, videos, and performances—remained tight-lipped through it all. But as the day went on, certain details came out.
Here’s everything we know so far about Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce’s wedding.

A report by TMZ last month suggested that Swift and Kelce “bailed” on their long-rumored Rhode Island ceremony “after word got out about the venue.”
Last week, it was reported by the New York Times that permits had been requested for a large-scale event at MSG in early July, which allowed for road closures in the surrounding Manhattan area from July 2 to 4. Ahead of the wedding, paparazzi photos captured a delivery of boxes labeled “Garden Party,” and workers rolling out (then removing) carpet on the entrance steps, and draping fabric hanging from the ceiling. White tents were also erected outside the venue for arrivals.
Swift is not the first person to hold a wedding at the renowned arena— Sly Stone married Kathy Silva in front of an audience of 23,000 on June 5, 1974. Swift has also performed there eight times across the last two decades.
The couple held a rehearsal dinner for about 100 people at the Infosys Theater within the arena on Thursday, July 2. Lena Dunham, Selena Gomez, and Jack Antonoff were photographed heading to MSG for the event that evening.
Page Six cited sources who revealed the weekend’s full running order —and the schedule is packed. Following the rehearsal dinner, doors for guests opened on Friday at 3:30 p.m., with a cocktail hour beginning at 4 p.m. on the 6th-floor concourse. The nuptials then started at 5:30 p.m. on the MSG arena floor, with the reception following at 6:30 p.m. The end time was set for 2:00 a.m.
There were also reports on Friday that Stevie Nicks and Paul McCartney would perform during the ceremony. An unnamed source told the Times that “Swift and Nicks had participated in a sound check inside the Garden earlier on Friday.” (It appears that Swift’s “Stevie Knicks” shirt at the NBA finals— custom-made by her friend Alana Haim —may have been one of her signature Easter eggs for fans.)

According to NBC News , guests received NDAs to sign along with their invitations. (Also, uniquely watermarked to deter leaks.) There was also a reported no-phones policy.
