Bradley Ray extended his unbeaten streak at Snetterton to seven races by winning a drama-filled opening British Superbike Championship in Norfolk.
The race was red flagged on two occasions, first due to an incident involving Glenn Irwin, Rory Skinner, Charlie Nesbitt and Graeme Irwin at turn two (Wilson) on the opening lap. Glenn Irwin and Nesbitt were taken to the medical centre.
Once the race was underway a great battle ensued between Ray and Cook for the victory, with both men enjoying time at the front. Ray was back in front when Cook suffered heartbreak on the 11 th lap when he was forced to retire with a bike issue.
That gave Ray some room to breathe and he was declared the winner at the beginning of the final lap due to the red flags being released again following a mechanical problem for Christian Iddon which resulted in track contamination.
It’s Ray’s first victory since Race Two at Oulton Park last October , and his and Yamaha’s first of the 2026 season. It’s the first non-Ducati victory of the year.
Scott Redding came home in second to celebrate his 39 th podium from 62 BSB races. The Hager PBM Ducati rider, who recorded the fastest lap of the race, has closed the gap to series leader Kyle Ryde, who finished third, to 19 points.
Ryde’s podium extends his run of race finishes to 70, whilst he extends his 100% podium record in 2026. The reigning two-time champion has stood on the podium in each of the 10 races held so far this season.
Leon Haslam was fourth for Moto Rapido Racing Ducati, with Ryan Vickers securing another top five finish for Honda Racing UK.
Joe Talbot celebrated his best-ever BSB result in sixth, finishing ahead of Jason O’Halloran and Ilya Mikhalchik. Lee Jackson completed the top 10 for DAO Racing Honda.
Danny Kent and Fraser Rogers finished 11 th and 12 th respectfully, with rookie teammates Rhys Irwin and Eugene McManus both scoring points in 13 th and 14 th . The final point when to Brayden Elliot.
Storm Stacey’s Bathams AJN Racing Ducati suffered a mechanical problem on the Bentley Straight whilst he was challenging Ray for second on the fifth lap.
