New Video Shows the First 18 Minutes of Black Flag Resynced

An updated combat system with faster response and greater fluidity... 0 Twitter Telegram Whatsapp Facebook As the release date of Assassin's Creed Black Flag Resynced of July 9 approaches, a new clip has emerged revealing the first 18 minutes of the game, giving players their first extended look at the remastered version. The video, posted by IGN, showcases the adventure's beginning from the very first moments. The events start with a black screen informing players that the story kicks off from Cape Bonavista in June 1715, before transitioning straight into an intense naval battle. At this point, we see the protagonist Edward Kenway before he dons the iconic Assassin's robe. He is still merely a pirate, and his ship is under attack from vessels flying the English flag. This engagement serves as a tutorial that introduces players to the basics of naval combat, as Edward takes the helm and commands his crew to fire cannons at enemy ships. While the naval combat style has not seen drastic changes, the graphical improvements appear massive compared to the original version released in 2013. The raging waves, stormy atmospheres, explosions, and chaos that characterize naval battles have become more realistic and stunning than ever. It does not take long for a violent explosion on the ship's deck to send Edward, along with a mysterious robed figure, into the open sea. Once Edward manages to swim to the shore, the game begins showcasing one of its standout strengths: the visually rebuilt world. The tropical island he arrives at appears vibrant, with dense trees and lush green plants reflecting a clear technological leap. In terms of the story, it does not seem that Ubisoft has made significant changes to the game's opening. The events unfold as fans of the original version know, where the masked man tasks Edward with delivering a message in exchange for money. However, this simple task leads him to don the guise of an Assassin and gradually become embroiled in the hidden war between the Assassins and the Templars. In a recent interview, technical director Yussi Marcainen explained that the game will give players the freedom to dive almost anywhere within the open world, which means adding entirely new areas to explore, including shipwrecks and secrets not present in the original version. Marcainen also confirmed that the combat system has been developed inspired by Assassin’s Creed Shadows, where it relies more on a hitbox system, allowing for faster response and greater fluidity during encounters. “We have updated the combat system to be more hitbox-dependent, like in modern action games, and more responsive. Edward will still be able to use the hidden blade, but as a finishing move during combat, making encounters smoother and more dynamic.” With graphical improvements, expansions in exploration, and adjustments to the combat system, it seems that Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced is not just reintroducing one of the series' most popular games but is striving to present it in a modern guise that meets the expectations of the current generation of players. I have loved video games since the days of the family system, and I prefer adventure games like Tomb Raider and Assassins Creed (before the shift to RPG), I have no bias towards any home console for me the best is the one that offers the most distinctive games. What matters to me is the experiences with a compelling narrative because the story is at the heart of the enjoyment more than the gameplay. 0 Articles Four things in Assassin’s Creed: Black Flag Resynced that excite us Goodbye to immediate failure in stealth and chase missions. 0 Articles What’s new in Assassin's Creed Black Flag Resynced Additional story content and changes in gameplay. 0 Articles Everything you need to know about Assassin's Creed Black Flag Resynced A new engine… and seas more beautiful than ever. 0 News A leaked comparison between the original Assassin's Creed Black Flag and the Resynced version shows massive improvements ahead of the official announcement.
