According to a new media report from Bloomberg News, Xbox's division at Microsoft aims to confine single-player story-driven games to its platform in order to provide a reason for players to purchase the Xbox console moving forward.
Multiplayer games will remain cross-platform according to the report, and Xbox now aims to make its biggest story-driven titles exclusive to its platform. We got a glimpse of this earlier this summer with the announcement of the exclusivity of Gears and Clockwork games. There is no doubt that Microsoft wants to restructure the Xbox division, with one of the goals being to return to its roots and deliver what platform lovers desire.
