Twitter Telegram Whatsapp Facebook Rockstar Games has officially revealed all the details of The Kortz Center Heist, the first major update adding a new heist to GTA Online in six years, scheduled for release on July 14 across all platforms.
The company previously teased a major update coming in July, but has now unveiled everything players can look forward to in an official announcement on the game’s website. While questions abound regarding when the next version of GTA Online will enter the world of GTA 6, it seems that The Kortz Center Heist could be the last major update that GTA Online for GTA 5 receives, as it is also the first real Heist update since the Cayo Perico Heist released in 2020.
Although the The Cluckin’ Bell Farm Raid update released two years ago had a similar vibe to heists, it was officially classified as a Raid and Contact Mission, making The Kortz Center Heist the first full heist to return to the game in six years.
The Kortz Center Heist can be undertaken solo or in a team of four players, although Rockstar emphasizes that teaming up with friends is the best option.
The heist revolves around your collaboration with the mysterious character Mr. Faber and his trusted intermediary Raf De Angelis to plan the theft of a prestigious art museum and seize its most valuable possessions.
However, breaching a museum of this level requires special preparation, which is why the update introduces a new addition in the form of an art studio within the player's mansion, which will serve as the main headquarters for starting the mission. The studio will also allow you to invite friends and showcase the artwork you’ve stolen during your adventures.
After scouting the museum and gathering intelligence, the equipment prep and planning phase begins. When entering the building, you'll need to take stealthy pictures of the exhibits to study the best ways in and out without raising the guards' attention.

To ensure the update remains enjoyable even after completing the mission, Rockstar confirmed that the heist will offer substantial variety, as three paintings available for theft will change each week, giving players fresh reasons to replay the heist either solo or with friends.
As always, the update will also add new vehicles and various upgrades for collectors of vehicles and items in the game.
For GTA+ subscribers, they will receive an exclusive advantage as they will be able to get the new Grotti Veleno GT car for free starting from July 14, a full week before it is available for purchase in-game for other players.
