According to journalist Jez Corden in a comment on the rumors, the picture painted about the size of the team is incorrect and the current size of the team is the same as when it developed the DOOM reboot in 2016, which Corden considers the best release from the team ever, while also noting that the layoffs have affected many of the great talents the team had.
