U.S. President Donald Trump threatened on Friday that the United States would 'totally destroy' Iran if it tried to assassinate him or succeeded in doing so.
Trump wrote on his platform 'Truth Social': 'There are 1000 missiles ready to be launched aimed at the Islamic Republic of Iran, followed immediately by thousands of other missiles, should the Iranian government carry out its threat declared in various parts of the world to assassinate or attempt to assassinate the current President of the United States, in which case I am.'
He added: 'I have given the orders and the U.S. military is ready, willing, and able for a year, which is extendable, to annihilate and destroy all areas of Iran completely.'
