Digital Extremes announced that access to the Soulframe: Preludes beta will be free for all players who sign up through the official website before the end of July 12, as part of the TennoCon events. Soulframe is the spiritual successor to Warframe, a cooperative fantasy-themed RPG still in the Pre-Alpha stage, where developers are utilizing this period to gather player feedback and improve the experience before the official launch.
The current version also includes new content like the boss Mendicant Reinbreaker and the Sword-Whip weapon, while the team confirmed that upcoming updates will add a mount system in the fall. Developers explained that the biggest benefit of opening up the experience to more players is getting new opinions on the starting experience, assuring that everyone who gets an invite now will retain access to future updates, noting that Soulframe: Preludes is currently available on PC only with no official release date for the full version.
