Louis Vuitton unveils the World Cup trophy case designed for the 2026 World Cup final

The ongoing collaboration in designing trophy cases for World Cup tournaments since 2010 has seen Louis Vuitton selected as the official supplier and licensed partner for the 2026 World Cup, with the house taking on the responsibility of presenting the official case designed specifically to transport and showcase the most prestigious and well-known trophy in the sports world.

The trophy case will be part of the music, entertainment, and protocol program, as it will be brought onto the pitch during the 2026 World Cup final accompanied by a Louis Vuitton ambassador and a FIFA legend, continuing the protocol that has become an iconic tradition since 2010.

Exclusive collection And on this occasion, the fashion house also unveiled an exclusive and limited-edition collection of Louis Vuitton cases.

The trophy case has been handcrafted by Louis Vuitton artisans at the historic workshops in the town of 'Asnières-sur-Seine' near the French capital, Paris, and is covered in Louis Vuitton's iconic Monogram canvas.

The two front panels feature a hand-painted golden 'V' that symbolizes the words 'victory' (victoire) and 'Vuitton', reflecting the colors of the prestigious World Cup trophy.

The exterior design is completed with leather edges known as 'Luzin', along with corner protectors, a lock, and clasps made of gold-plated brass, mirroring designs the house has used since the 1860s.

The interior is lined with light beige leather and features the partnership logo between Louis Vuitton and FIFA integrated into the case lid.

Romi Jay, FIFA's business director, stated, 'Louis Vuitton brings a unique blend of heritage, craftsmanship, and prestige to the World Cup.'

Jay added, 'The official trophy is the most coveted and recognized prize in football, so it is only natural for it to be carried in a Louis Vuitton case, and the moment it is presented on the pitch before the final match will again be a landmark in the tournament, connecting the legacy of tradition with the pinnacle of modern football.'

Continuing the partnership, Pietro Beccari, CEO and Chairman of Louis Vuitton, remarked, 'For over a decade, Louis Vuitton and FIFA have shared a steadfast commitment to excellence, united by a common belief in the power of sports to inspire people and bring them together.'

He explained, 'We are delighted to continue this partnership for the 2026 World Cup. At the heart of this tournament stands the most valuable trophy in football, representing dedication, collective ambition, and the highest expressions of celebration of victory.'

He revealed, 'In this new edition, the Louis Vuitton trophy case continues to carry this legacy, accompanying that iconic moment when the greatest achievement in football history is celebrated and history is made.'

Since 2010, Louis Vuitton has maintained close ties with major global sporting events, including designing the official trophy cases for the 2010 World Cup in South Africa, the 2014 edition in Brazil, the 2018 edition in Russia, and the 2022 edition in Qatar, accompanying the trophy around the world under the house's distinctive concept: 'Victorious travels with Louis Vuitton'.
