A tonne of Gun - Royal Enfield reveal limited production run of 100 Rough Crafts Shotgun 650s

Royal Enfield have teamed up with Taiwanese custom builder Rough Crafts to create a limited-edition version of the Shotgun 650 , with just 100 examples going on sale worldwide.

Priced at £8150 in the UK, the machine is based on the ‘Caliber Royale’ custom build first shown at Eicma in 2025 and again at Royal Enfield’s Motoverse event later that year.

Each of the 100 bikes is individually numbered, with the run split evenly across four regions – India, Europe, North America and Asia Pacific – meaning just 25 will be available in each territory.

Mechanically, the Rough Crafts special is unchanged from the standard Shotgun 650. That means it keeps the 648cc air/oil-cooled parallel twin, which produces 46bhp at 7250rpm and 39lb-ft at 5650rpm, along with the steel spine frame, Showa suspension and Bybre brakes. Kerb weight is 240kg.

The changes are all cosmetic, but there are plenty of them. The paint combines Gloss Jet Black and Matt Stealth Black, split by a gold leaf stripe with a grey accent running across the panels, and each tank carries its own edition number.

A cast brass collaboration badge – the same as the one used on the original Caliber Royale custom – marks it out, and there are black bar-end mirrors, quilted leather seats, contrast-cut alloy rims and gold fork inner tubes.

Buyers also get a numbered gold-on-black print of the Caliber Royale sketch, designed and signed by Rough Crafts founder Winston Yeh.

The Caliber Royale that inspired it was built by Rough Crafts using a Shotgun 650 as its base, with stretched proportions, a bespoke fairing, gloss and matte paint, gold-leaf detailing and minor frame changes.

“This latest edition carries a distinctive design language inspired by the ‘Caliber Royale’ custom build – aligning perfectly with Rough Crafts’ signature black and gold aesthetic,” said Adrian John Sellers, Head of Custom & Motorsports at Royal Enfield.

“With this limited-run motorcycle, we are proud to bring the artistry, craftsmanship, and understated yet aggressive silhouette of the original Rough Crafts custom build to our global community of riders, proving once again the limitless creative potential of the Shotgun 650 platform.”

This isn’t the first time Royal Enfield have used the Shotgun 650 as the basis for a numbered special. In February 2025 they built 100 examples of a Shotgun 650 in collaboration with US firm Icon Motosports , priced at £7399, with only 25 headed for Europe. The Rough Crafts version follows the same limited, region-split formula, but at a higher price.

Rather than a conventional dealer order, the bikes will be sold via a phased online ‘drop’, with buyers needing to pre-register in advance.

Registration opens today (July 15) at the Royal Enfield website, and the sale itself runs across four days depending on region – July 27, 2026 at 6pm for the UK.

The first 25 buyers to complete their purchase in each region will get one of the bikes.

When we rode the standard Shotgun 650 we praised it for punching above its weight – laid-back and comfortable, but also surprisingly sporty, with neutral handling, plenty of grip and a torquey, characterful engine.

At £8150, the Rough Crafts version demands a notable £1301 premium over the standard machine, but with only 100 being built worldwide, exclusivity is the point.
