The Beirut and Mount Lebanon Water Authority announced today, Wednesday, that it will temporarily stop the main water conveyance channel from the Jeita Spring to the treatment plant in Dhour El Choueir to complete the final maintenance works, relying on the Antelias Spring and wells for the station's water supply during this period.
As a result, strict water rationing will be applied to the areas supplied by the Dhour El Choueir plant, which are:
Rationing will start from the morning of Friday, July 17, 2026, and continue until the morning of Monday, July 20, 2026.
The authority apologizes to citizens for this temporary measure and calls for rational water consumption during this period to ensure minimal continuity of supply until the maintenance works are completed.
