To Those Under 18 Years Old… You Are Prohibited from Entering Amusement Parks!

The Ministry of Tourism issued a circular numbered 7 to tourist establishments bound by the provisions of Decree No. 4221 dated 2000/10/13, stating:

“Based on the requirements of public interest, and based on the provisions of Article One of Decree No. 12222 dated 1963/3/11, which prohibits the entry of persons of both genders who are under the age of eighteen into nightclubs, dance halls, bars, and amusement parks both at night and during the day, and based on the provisions of Articles (625) and (626) of the Penal Code, which prohibit serving alcoholic beverages to persons under the age of eighteen, whether in bars or in any tourist establishment or place open to the public, therefore, all tourist establishments that provide food and beverages, of all categories, are requested to refrain from serving or selling or delivering any alcoholic or spirit beverage to any person under the age of eighteen, under the penalty of taking appropriate legal and administrative measures against the violating establishment, according to the laws and regulations in force.

It is also prohibited to allow entry of persons of both genders who are under the age of eighteen into nightclubs, dance halls, bars, and amusement parks both at night and during the day.

This circular will take effect from the date of its issuance, and all concerned are requested to fully comply with its content.

Any violation of the provisions of this circular exposes the violator to prosecution and the administrative measures provided for in the laws and regulations in force, including the organization of reports and suggesting appropriate penalties when necessary.”
