In a separate development, semi-official agency Fars reported that a bridge in Bandar Khamir was targeted in a U.S. strike.
Tasnim reported that a U.S. attack targeted three bridges in the Khamir area of Hormozgan Province, noting that the most significant was a bridge connecting Bandar Abbas and Lar city in Fars Province within the Kavouristan area, causing power outages in some areas and disruptions in telephone communication services.
The agency reported that the attack occurred while vehicles were crossing the bridge, causing them to veer off and be flung from the site after a missile fell near the location.
Preliminary information indicated one person was killed and several others were injured, with the final toll to be announced later.
Users on social media shared videos showing destruction of the bridge and fires breaking out in its vicinity due to the U.S. attack.
