I’m always asked, “What are your favorite beauty products?”—and honestly, I find that question hard to answer. My role as Bazaar ’s beauty director requires me to test hundreds, if not thousands, of launches yearly, so my favorites change daily as I discover what’s new. I’m not alone in this. My colleagues also have access to the best that beauty has to offer, not to mention that they have exceptional taste, which makes them keepers of so many must-have recommendations across skincare , haircare , body care , makeup, and more. “I have tried hundreds of lip pencils. And while there are great formulas at every price point, I can see why Louis Vuitton’s $58 lip liner would cause a stir. But I am here to tell you that it’s worth it. It’s the most gorgeous, creamy formula—designed by the legendary Dame Pat McGrath—that sets to a long-wearing finish. This nude shade in particular is my perfect your-lips-but-better tone for overlining. It’s easy to sharpen and easy to apply, and looks extra pretty if you blur the edges with your finger or a lip brush. In fact, I am probably using too much of it and too frequently, but I can’t get enough of how it makes my hair look, feel, and smell. My hair air-dries with significantly less poof and frizz after using this in place of conditioner, and the musky floral scent lasts for days. Days. I keep sniffing my braid like a weirdo.” — JR
“Not only is this blush just the cutest little thing (eep!), but the pigment it leaves behind is so stunning. The formula is creamy and blendable, but like all of Armani’s products, it wears for hours without fading.
