UFC 6, Meccha Chameleon, and 007 First Light are projected to be the best-selling games of the month

According to data from Circana , revenue is down across all segments - hardware (-62%), software (-12%), and accessories (-21%) - but it's the former that's tumbled the farthest, dropping from $1 billion in June 2025 to just $383 million a year later. That 62% drop, of course, is likely attributable to the release of the Switch 2 last June, with Nintendo hardware spending down 79% below the platform’s total during its June 2025 launch month.
PlayStation 5 spending fell by 19% year-on-year, while Xbox Series more than doubled.
Across the year to date, however, total sales across hardware and software are broadly flat when compared year-over-year, dropping around 1%.
With regard to games, EA's UFC 6 has stormed the best-selling video game chart in June, debuting at the top spot. Similarly, indie outfit lemorion_1224 has debuted in second place with its brilliant co-op game, Meccha Chameleon.
That means 007 First Light has dropped to third place after taking pole position in May, followed up by Star Fox, which debuted at number four.
