Two €10 wines from an innovative Languedoc maker

Jean-Claude Mas is one of the more innovative and successful producers in the Languedoc, in southern France. The son of a grape grower, he uses a combination of old-world and new-world techniques to make very stylish, keenly priced wines.

The two featured wines are made from well-known grape varieties. In addition to these, Dunnes has a Chardonnay and a Grenache, both at €10 and also worth trying.

An attractive, fresh, crisp, dry white , with light aromas and lively apple and pear fruits, finishing dry. Try it as an aperitif or with fish dishes. It would also go nicely with lighter summer salads.

This medium-bodied wine has concentrated blackcurrant and cassis fruits with good tannins and a good dry finish. Enjoy this with roast or grilled red meats or firm cheeses.
