Kyle Ryde has extended his British Superbike Championship lead over Scott Redding after securing his 11 th victory of the season in Race Two at Oulton Park.
Ryde took full advantage of a safety car period, overtaking Redding immediately at turn one for second, before chasing and going down the inside of Bradley Ray at Island Bend. Prior to the safety car, Ryde was around one-second behind the leading duo.
Ryde is now 28 points clear of Redding having finished on the podium in all 17 races so far this year. It’s Ryde’s 35 th career win in BSB, and his 78 th podium from 205 race starts.
Ray, winner of Race One , could do nothing to fight back against Ryde’s Ducati , but did manage to withstand some pressure from Redding to claim second spot. It’s Ray’s 64 th podium in BSB.
Ryan Vickers impressed yet again onboard the Honda Racing UK Fireblade in fourth and also ran inside the top three for large parts of the race. It’s the fourth time that Vickers has finished fourth in 2026.
AJN Steelstock Bimota duo Max Cook and Joe Talbot finished fifth and sixth respectively, whilst Jason O’Halloran secured his best result of the season so far in seventh.
Storm Stacey finished eighth and was a doubt to start the race at all after a big crash at Cascades during the warm-up session earlier in the day. Glenn Irwin and Christian Iddon completed the top 10.
Lee Jackson and Rory Skinner came home in 11 th and 12 th , with Ilya Mikhalchik, Charlie Nesbitt and Fraser Rogers securing the final points available in the race.
Graeme Irwin and Dan Brooks were involved in a collision at Shell on lap three. Irwin went down first, leaving Brooks with nowhere to go. On the same lap, 2026 rookie Rhys Irwin crashed out at Hizzys.
Josh Brookes went down on lap six at Druids, with the DAO Racing bike bouncing over the fence and into the bushes. The safety car was released as a result due to gravel on the circuit. Leon Haslam crashed at Hizzys on the penultimate lap whilst running in fourth.
Danny Kent was missing from the grid due to engine problems with his Cheshire Mouldings Yamaha R1.
The third and final BSB race of the weekend at Oulton Park is due to begin at 16:30.
