SAP Concur unveiled new tools Monday, extending AI beyond travelers and travel managers into finance and administrative work.
New releases include an AI-assisted approval manager, expense-policy benchmarking, virtual card management, and a “leakage”-reporting tool built with Amex GBT. SAP Concur and Amex GBT struck an alliance in 2025 to combine travel, expense and marketplace data across their two platforms, and the leakage tool is one of the first products to come out of this alliance.
Leakage is travel spend that conflicts with a company’s managed travel policies.
SAP Concur says more than 30% of bookings can happen this way at some companies, and until now, that spending was largely invisible to Concur because the data sat with Amex GBT.
