The Oscar-winning star took to the seas for time off with her family
Actress Nicole Kidman is well-known for her chameleon-like ability to transform into characters through both performance and beauty. But during a recent family getaway to Iceland with the Ritz-Carlton Yacht Collection, the actress leaned into the power of “less is more” instead, showcasing her natural curls in all their bouncy, bountiful glory.
“Beautiful country, trip of a lifetime. @ritzcarltonyachtcollection, thank you for being so kind to my family and guests. We love you Iceland!!” Kidman writes in an Instagram post about the trip. In keeping with the easygoing theme of the cruise, she kept her strawberry blonde hair as low-maintenance as possible while on vacation, alternating between a loose messy bun and free-flowing ringlets depending on the occasion.
This isn’t the first time we’ve seen the Lioness star with natural curls. The coily hairstyle became her calling card at the beginning of her career in the late ’80s and early ’90s, but Kidman has typically opted for sleek waves or a voluminous blowout on the red carpet in recent years. It’s one reason her summery mid-back Icelandic curls are especially noteworthy.
